Happy First Birthday
Here is a card I made for the final round of the Splitcoast Clean and Simple Fall DT search. I was thrilled to make it to the final round, in the company of some very talented CAS stampers. This challenge was an inspiration photo - THE PARTY IS ON. The photo was of a football party with lots of orange and blue. I went with that, changing the football theme to a first birthday. I love this stamp from Whipper Snapper designs and knew I could color it to match the theme. The rest of the card was a CAS design of white on white with accents of orange.

Your Smile
Here is my card for the second round of the Clean and Simple DT search at Splitcoast. The challenge was to make a CAS card using three of my favorite things. Now that is a challenge! Only three! I chose copics, sewing and die cuts.
For today's card, I chose There She Goes Flowers of Happiness (another favorite of mine, but stamps didn't have to count :)) and cut out three blooms, colored in shades of purple. The die cut is a flourish from MFT Die-namics (another favorite!). I stamped the sentiment onto a green gigham and sewed that panel.

New Home
My card today is a double challenge - one for the central theme at Splitcoast "In the Neighborhood" and for the Ways to Use It challenge to use clouds. When I saw the monthly theme I knew I wanted to use the There She Goes set Day or Night. It's full of neighborhood stamps and nice sentiments for new homeowners. I picked out some dsp and colored my image to the paper. I included some clouds of course!

For Teacher
Here is a card I made for the clean and simple challenge this week at Splitcoast. The challenge was to be inspired by school. I came across this free digi from Whimise Doodles a few days ago that was just perfect for this challenge. I have been trying to stock pile some teacher thank you cards when I can because it is always so hard at the end of the school year to get them done.
I colored the image with copics. I have been working on coloring, trying to add more dimension to the image. There are some great tutorials on the Whimsie Doodles blog that are helpful and her images are very cute. The paper is from MME and perfect for a teacher (I thought!).

Go Keira!
Today's card is a clean and simple card (my most challenging!) celebrating Game Day. Two of my daughters play soccer with the local league, which I also volunteer for, so soccer is a big sport in our house. This Pure Innocence from My Favorite Things is totally my daughter, Keira. She is fierce, yet precious!!
I colored the image with copics and cut it out. I wanted to create a small background for her, keeping it clean and simple of course. I colored a sky and grass with copics and put that up against a red background to make the red of the image really pop.

Sassy Pants
Hey, Sassy Pants!! I love this little girl, one of my new found favorites from My Favorite Things. She is wearing a lovely dress paper pieced from some Stella and Rose paper from MME. I colored the image with copics, cut it out and popped it up over a dsp with script for a background. The rest of the card follows the sketch from the MFT Wednesday sketch challenge for this week:
This was a fun sketch to follow. I added a scallop border to the middle using two layers of scallops cut using MFT Die-namics Large Scallop border. I added a bit of brown twine to the top of this, tied with a coordinating button. A final banner with a sentiment was the finishing touch for this card with Cute-a-tude!!

Happiness
I was able to get some time in my stamping room this weekend to catch up on some challenges. I always try to join in on the There She Goes challenge posted on thier blog on Monday mornings. This week the challenge is to use a sentiment as the image (TSG168 Get Sentimental).
The sentiment part of my card was an easy choice. I love the sentiments from There She Goes Flowers of Happiness. The flowers from this set are awesome too, making this stamp set a favorite of mine.
I just picked up a few new 6x6 paper pads from MME at a local craft store and was anxious to use them. I took the layout from the Sweet Stop sketches, shown here, for inspiration.
For the flower, I used the die from TSG Worlds Best and crumpled it around a button. I love how it looks against the background papers and ribbon.

Here's to You!
I am back to stamping after a little break. I think after making all of those cards for the DTGD challenges, my creativity needed a recharge and my stamp room needed an overhaul!! Well, both were accomplished this week.
Today's card is for the inspiration challenge at Splitcoast featuring vintage posters (IC349). I chose a child with a red gigham background and a star to inspire this cutie. She is actually a free digi from Whimise Doodles. She is a 4th of July stamp but I cut off the sentiment to use it as an all around beauty!
I am working on my coloring and followed a tutorial on Whimsie Doodles' blog that showed highlights in hair. I like how she turned out. I then went crazy with the stars and added a bit of red gigham for a fun summertime card.

All About Shoes
Here is my card for today and she's a cutie!
This was made for another DTGD challenge. I love this image - it reminds me of my girls going through my closet and trying on heels. My youngest daughter still does it! I colored her up with copics in a pretty yellow dress to match this dsp. I was going to put a red sole on the shoe but it would stand out too much and I don't own any!!

Go USA!!
I am a huge fan of the Olympics, especially the summer games. I thought it would be fun to make a team USA card to show my spirit, and what better than this cute a la mode from My Favorite Things. How great is she!!
This card is another one for the DTGD challenges at Splitcoast, this one for a sketch challenge, shown here:
a challenge to use chevron stripes and a challenge to use a hexagon. I immediatly thought of a medal, which I put part of the sentiment onto.
The image is colored with copics and the rest of the card followed the skech, flipped on its side.

A few more cards....
Lots of cards this week as I try to complete all of the challenges for the DTGD week at Splitcoast. I have two cards that I made tonight:
Thanks for stopping by today!!
Kelly
This first card was for a sketch challenge, a color challenge asking for pink and orange and a challenge asking for bling. The stamped image and sentiment are from My Favorite Things.
This next card combines a sketch challenge, a challenge to make an anniversary/wedding card, a challenge to combine sewing with a love theme, and finally a challenge to use double embossing. I am not sure I accomplished the double embossing. I used a negative embossing technique with dry embossing. Hope that counts! The stamped image is from There She Goes.
