You Make the Grade

Here is a card I made for this past week's sketch challenge at My Favorite Things(MFTWSC68). I wanted to get a jump on end of the school year teacher cards for my daughters' teachers. This time of year always goes so fast!

I used MFT's Pure Innocence You Make the Grade for my card, coloring the image with copics and paper piecing the outfit to match the background papers. I used the sketch shown here for inspiration:

Thanks for stopping by today. Hoping to get a little more time in the stamp room this weekend!

Supplies used:
Stamps - MFT You Make the Grade
Ink - Memento black
Paper - Bazzill cardstock, MME dsp

Make a Splash

I finally got a little time in to stamp today, and only because my daughter's friend wanted to stamp today. Lucky me!

Today's card combines two different challenges - the Clean and Simple challenge on Splitcoast to use scallops (CAS165) and the There She Goes challenge to use ribbon (TSG151).

For the scallops, I immediately thought of a mermaid's tail so I reached for the There She Goes Make a Splash set. I love coloring the mermaids in this set. I used copics to color the image and kept the layout very simple to keep with the clean and simple look. I used two different colors to contrast with the scallops and highlighted with white throughout the card.

Thanks for looking today! Hopefully will be back tomorrow with another card.
