You Inspire Me

Here is a card I made for the LOVEFEST at Splitcoast - this challenge hosted by My Favorite Things, to make a card that will make someone's day. I also made this card for the sketch challenge from last Wednesday. Trying to keep up with those - they are always such great sketches.

I used MFT My Favorite Sentiments for my card today. I sewed around the edges (haven't done that in a while) and added a pretty flower made using several layers of die cut flowers. A button center from the matching cardstock was made using a button die (love that!). I also used a third die to make the flowers leaves. Easy card today and a little taste of spring. I am hopeful here in the northeast!

Thanks for stopping by today!! Kelly

Love You Always

Here is a card I made for my cousin, who is getting married next month. I found this absolutely adorable digital image from Wee Stamps. I just love coloring images like this and couldn't resist getting this one for my cousin. These two are so sweet. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.

I also made this card for one of the LOVEfest challenges at Splitcoast, a sketch challenge hosted by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, shown here:

MFT Sketch Challenge

Here is my card for the Wednesday Sketch challenge at My Favorite Things. I was so inspired by this beautiful paper from MME and from this most appropriate sentiment from MFT Clearly Sentimental about Friendship. The combination was perfect for this card.

Here's the sketch from MFT:

This card was made using several MFT Die-namics. I used the Large Royal rose rolled flower Die-namic to make my single rose and the Pretty Posie to make the center with a brad. I used the flourish Die-namic on some grey cardstock to mimic the designer paper. Finally, I used the Vertical Greeting turned horizontally to use for my sentiment. I punched holes in each end with a slot punch for the ribbon detail.
Hope you enjoy!!

TSG195 - It's a Sketch!!

This week, our challenge is to use the sketch provided. It was inspired by a card from our fabulous Trendsetter, Tobi Crawford!!

Here's my card for the sketch, turned on it's side:

My parents are in the process of moving and have been staying with me for almost three weeks now. They sure had a lot of stuff to pack, and we are only halfway there! This image from On The Move really sums up the move for them and our family!!

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using the provided sketch, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (February 25th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG195 so we can check out your beautiful work!

There She Goes, again!

This week at There She Goes is all about flowers as we looked back at a few very pretty sets from years past. The first was Bloom (my favorite), then Forever, and finally Sweet Pea. They are all so beautiful and so versatile for card making.

I went with a very soft look on this card, keeping with pinks and browns. I recently went on line to the Operation Write Home website and was amazed at their efforts. I made this card with them in mind and plan to send this, along with a collection of other cards I have made, off to the troops.

Be sure to stop by the other Trendsetter's blogs and see what loveliness they have created with these beautiful images.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Just stopping in to say Happy Valentine's Day to you all! My husband is not a card guy so I didn't make him one!!
I did want to show you a Sweet 16 card I made by request on my Etsy store. I love how this card looks in purple!

I originally made this design of card for my niece last summer and have since sold five more of them! Here's a link to my Etsy shop: KCsCards.

Warm Winter Wishes

I am sitting here watching the snow fall as a blizzard hits Long Island, and warm winter wishes are just what we need around here! I love a good snow in winter - the evergreens are so pretty and the kids get to use the new sleds that Santa brought. I am glad it hit at a weekend so we can enjoy the snow, though today was a tough commute for many.

My girls could not wait for the blizzard to be over to enjoy the winter wonderland and this image from There She Goes really captured that moment. They had so much fun playing in the snow together, especially my little one, who at three years old is only just starting to realize the magic of winter.

I used the sketch from Splitcoast this week (SC422)  as my inspiration.
