Happy Halloween! Well, not yet but soon enough! I made this card for the sketch challenge at splitcoast today and for the first Hope You Can Cling To challenge for this year. This event is held in October in support of breast cancer awareness. Several challenges are posted each day. All cards made for the challenges are to be sent to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas to brighten the days of patients and their families.
The first challenge was to use a technique called paper tole where the image is stamped several times and different parts of it are raised up. The highest layer is curved with a stylus to give it a 3D look. My card did achieve that (so cool!) but my camera just doesn't show it :(.
This is such a labor intensive technique - the image alone took two hours to complete! Great results though and fun to learn a new technique.
Thanks for stopping by today!!
Kelly
