Colorful (SSSC256)

Finally found some time to make and post a card for you. I went with Karen Giron's sketch challenge shown below for inspiration:

I have had this adorable MFT stamp since Christmas time but never got the chance to ink her up. Quite a bit of time to color it but so worth it! She is so perfect for my daughter's age of five and this will work great as a birthday card for my daughter's friend.
I colored the image in copics and cut it out, placing is over a rainbow of chevron stripes. The rest of the card was balancing the crazy color palette!

Celebrate You

Another snow day here on Long Island and the kids are home from school. Between sledding and cleaning up wet clothes, I had a chance to make a quick card for today's sketch challenge at Splitcoast today. The design is shown here:

I took out my MFT stamps and dies for today's card, using LJD Celebrate You stamp set for the sentiment. I used my old favorite Die-namics - Plentiful Petals, Medium Leafy Flourish, and Triangle Screen for the embossed background. Quick and easy and I love how it turned out.

It's your birthday....

It sure is a snowy day here on Long Island! I dug out the front steps and then headed downstairs to make a card while I warmed up. Here is my card for the color challenge at Splitcoast today, to use red, dark brown and light brown together. I immediately thought this stamp would be perfect and wanted to use a Sugar Pea Designs stamp set. They just celebrated their first birthday and are hosting a blog hop with great prizes. At the end of the hop we are to post a card. My plan is to grab a cup of coffee and hop along with them next.
This card is also for the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge this week (SSSC253), shown below:

I have another card for today, this one using a new technique for me - White on White. I stamped the flowers in Versamark and embossed them. Then I colored them in using Copics, This was not an easy challenge. I tried first with a snowman stamp and then with a bird stamp but wasn't happy with either result. I also have embossing powder all over the place! It does look pretty cool with the flowers and really stands alone here.

Thanks a Bunch!

Here is a card I made for the Featured Stamper challenge at Splitcoast from yesterday, which honored Tracy Valure. I used an image from Sugar Pea Designs for my card today in honor of their first birthday last week. The really have some cute stamps there and this one is no exception. I colored her with copics and followed the design of one of Tracy's cards. I used a picket fence Die-namic from MFT for a border between the papers.

With Sympathy

Here's a little different style for me for today's inspiration challenge. I love clean and simple cards and we were asked to be inspired by the queen of CAS (in my book!), Angela. She uses a wonderful mix of texture and elegance in all of her cards and I hope I captured a bit of that here.

Happy Happy Birthday!

I had time to finish another card today, this one a birthday card for the color challenge on the MFT challenge website and for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge, shown below:

The colors for MFT Color Challenge 14 were a blueberry, light purple, lime and white. I love the contrast of the lime against the blues and thought the balloons would work perfectly. They are from MFT Die-namics Balloon STAX and I used a sentiment from MFT LJD Celebrate You.

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for stopping by today!! Kelly
