Happy Mail

Here is a card I made for the color challenge at Splitcoast today, to use red, teal and light tan together. I also made this for a Hope You Can Cling To challenge to Keep Connected. That's the reason for this too cute image of a Pure Innocence sending some mail. Hope You Can Cling To is a month long of challenges in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. All of the cards made for this challenge are sent down to MD Anderson Cancer Center in TX for the patients and their families to enjoy. It is an honor for me to be part of sending much needed smiles.

Sweetie

Here is a card I made for the HYCCT challenge at SCS to make a card with a sweet treat. Well that is ice cream in this house! I used an ice cream cone from Taylored Expressions Sweet Treats and colored it with copics to match the coordinating paper. The sketch follows Karen's sketch this week at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge:

Cause for Celebration

Still working on my cards for the Hope You Can Cling To cards for a cause going on at Splitcoast this month. The cards made for these challenges will be sent down to MD Anderson Cancer Center in TX. There families and friends can choose a card to send a smile to someone.

My card today is for a Warm Fuzzies challenge and for yesterday's sketch challenge. For the warm fuzzy, I chose to make a quilt background using warm colors from the color wheel. The Pure Innocence girl is all set for a celebration wearing a dress I paper pieced from the matching cardstock.

Happy Birthday!

Here is my card for the MFT sketch challenge today. I love these challenges but this week was a little tough for me. I love lots of layers with smaller panels but this was the opposite. Regardless, I'm happy with my birthday card.

It's impossible not to love this little girl and she looks so cute in purple! I used a Die-namic plate to punch out the holes on the pink panel. My background of purple is embossed with large polka dots.

Bear Hug

Happy Monday! Here is a card I made for Lee's Hope You Can Cling To challenge at Splitcoast today, to make a card with a bear on it. I used a set from There She Goes called Beary Best. This image is just perfect - a bear hug for someone in need, and the sentiment is so appropriate. I followed the MOJO sketch for this week, shown below:

The Sun will come out.... Tomorrow!

Annie has always been one of my favorite Broadway plays since I was a child. I loved singing the songs, especially Tomorrow. This quote reminded me of that song and was the inspiration for the sun and clouds. I made this card for the Hope You Can Cling To challenge Shine On, which was to make a card with something that shines bright. I also made this card for the MFT sketch challenge this week, a great one!

The sentiment is from MFT Clearly Sentimental about Audrey Hepburn. I cut out the banner for the sentiment and the rays for the sun. The sun itself is just a circle die-cut and the cloud is from MFT Die-namic clouds. Such an easy card and I love how it turned out!

Wonderful

I am taking advantage of this rainy day to grab some crafty time. I have a lot on my agenda since this month SCS celebrates Hope You Can Cling To. This is a month of challenges based on hope and inspiration, and in honor of breast cancer awareness. All cards made for this challenge are to be sent to the MD Anderson Cancer center in Texas. There patients and families can take a card as they need it to send a much needed smile or hug.

For my card today, the challenge was to use strips of paper on a card. I glued these strips to a piece of cardstock and used a circle die cut to give me a base for my sentiment. I backed this up with some coordinating papers, all with black accents. I love the soft papers against the black. This card is also for yesterday's Free for All challenge at SCS, to use natural element on a card.
