Gate Fold card

I tried a new challenge today over at Splitcoast, called a Gate Fold card. Such an easy technique with really cool results. The fun balloon die-cuts were my inspiration for my card and I used them as the center focal point. The rest of the card was just fun papers to go along with the colors of the balloon. So easy!
Here's a peek at the inside, which uses a coordinating paper of a simpler design with a sentiment.

The balloon die cuts are from My Favorite Things and the number die if from Papertrey Ink.

Cowgirl at Heart

Here is a card I made for the sketch challenge at Splitcoast today. I haven't colored with Copics in a while so I used a partial image of a favorite There She Goes image for my card today. I used some coordinating western papers to finish my card. So fun!

Cute!

Here is my card for the sketch challenge at splitcoast today. I chose my one of my favorite PI's from MFT, Cute-a-tude for today's card. I colored her with copics and paper pieced her dress to match the panels in the back. A big gingham bow finishes the card!

Be Happy

I'm trying some new techniques in my card making and love this new look. Clean and simple is one of the hardest styles to master (in my opinion) and this card is a case of one of the masters, Karen Dunbrook. I masked the side panel and sponges some shades of blue. Over that I stamped a repeating damask stamp that I inked in three different shades of blue. Once done with that, I removed the mask and scored two lines along the stamped panel. I used a scoring tool to add a line of holes to one of the score lines. Then I added a banner that had scored lines as well. The end result makes me smile!

Birthday Hugs

Another birthday card for my stash using a great color combination from today's color challenge at Splitcoast- coral, green and yellow. I made my own designer paper using a background stamp and some random stamping from a flower stamp set. I used three layers to add some depth. I love the pops of green against the coral. Hope you enjoy!

Happy Birthday

Had some time to finish up another card today. I love this Pure Innocence from MFT but usually wind up paper piecing her dress with some coordinating designer paper. This time I colored her dress to match the vibrant papers in the background. I love how she looks here, all dressed up for a party. My twin and I share a birthday at the end of the month so this will be her card. Kind of reminds me of us growing up :)

Thank You

Here is my clean and simple card today for the Splitcoast challenge, which features a stamper. The stamper that was featured uses a lot of background stamps with vibrant colors. I tried to copy her style here using bright oranges against the white. I cut out a flower using this same stamped flower to give the card some dimension.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
