Let's Fly Away!

Here is a card I made for the inspiration challenge at The Cat's Pajamas (TCP196) and the Sweet Stop Sketch challenge (SSS144), shown here:

The Cat's Pajamas inspiration was the following picture:

I wanted to make a card using a stamp from The Cat's Pajamas with a lot of colors. This County Fair paper from My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline was a perfect choice and the card took off from there.I paper pieced the airplane with the background papers and put him on a blue sky. I popped up some of the clouds and the propeller too. The rest of the image was colored with copics.

Instead of the flower in the sketch, I chose to make a propeller out of the red cardstock with a button center (I hope that's what you thought it looked like :)  !!). I added a grosgrain ribbon across the background panel because I hardly ever make a card without a ribbon. I matted everything in red and white and added a final sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Supplies Used:
Stamps - The Cat's Pajamas Take Off
Ink - Memento black
