The Sun Will Come Out.....

I was a huge fan of the play Annie on Broadway as a kid and knew all of the songs. Tomorrow was a favorite of mine so this sentiment really brought back some memories! I sang this song hundreds of times in the car (sorry to my siblings :) ) and even went into NYC to try out for a role in the play.
For today's card, I used the color challenge from Splitcoast as my inspiration (concord grape, melon mambo and elegant eggplant - CC368) and went with the sketch from this week's There She Goes challenge  (TSG149).

I don't work with purple alot but had fun with this card. I paper pieced the raincoat and umbrella with purple papers and colored the rest of the image with copics. I added the sentiment to the image panel because of how much was going on with this card. I did not have alot of purple and melon colored designer papers so I used the colored cardstocks as my base panels, embossing the melon with Swiss dots.

The sketch called for a ribbon across the image panel but I just didn't have the room so I put it over the corner and popped up a button on this. Some brads in each of the corners were the finishing touches.

Thanks for stopping by today!
