Paper Pretties Digital

It's hard to believe how quickly my six months on the design team for Paper Pretties digitals has gone, but today is my last digital Whatnot post for Paper Pretties. I have really enjoyed making cards each Monday (Tuesday this week!) and the digital stamps have been adorable.
Most of the cards I have made have been whimsical, but for my card today I chose these pretties roses from Artish and used them for a sympathy card I needed. I colored the image with copics to match a perfectly coordinating paper for this card (MME - love it!). I sponged some Groovy Guava around the image and sentiment to soften the white and to match the background paper. I outlined the panels in black and white for a crisp contrast and added a satin grey bow. Some brads up top finish the card.

Taylored Expressions Blast From the Past Blog Hop

I am so excited to be part of the Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop once again. This month the theme was to use red, white and blue for inspiration, and I did just that!! I chose to work with Taylor's Make a Wish stamp set, using only paper piecing for my card. I can't rememeber the last card I made without coloring the entire image and using designer paper! This card took a bit of time to cut out all of the different sections of the cake, but I like the end result. I added some stars, stamped out in the coordinating paper, and placed randomly around the image. I embossed the background with circles to match the bottom layer of cake and added a ribbon panel of red and white ribbon to finish the card. I needed a card for a little boy that turned five last month around Memorial Day and how perfect is this card for him!
Thanks for stopping by today.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Taylored Expressions Make a Wish
Paper : Bazzill cardstock
Ink : Memento black, Stampin Up Pacific Point

Happy Monday!

Good Morning and Happy Monday! It's time for another digital release from Paper Pretties and this week brings us Wade, shown here and Feronia -
I colored Wade with copics, using bright colors of summer. I picked up on the orange from his bill and feet and used that throughout the rest of the card. The sentiment is from another Paper Pretties set, but perfect for this image! I embossed the center panel with Swiss Dots and added a white ribbon. I apologize for the photo quality, but left my camera at my parents' house and had to improvise!!

Happy Father's Day!

What a fun weekend we are having! Yesterday my daughter graduated from PreK and another daughter celebrated her birthday. Today I am going to see my Dad to celebrate Father's Day and my daughter's birthday so I finished up this card just in time for him.
My Dad enjoys a game of golf so this set from Paper Pretties was a perfect fit. I colored Luke with copics to match the plaid dsp. I picked the green from the shirt and used the same color cardstock for another panel, embossing it with Swiss Dots. I loosely followed a sketch from the Sweet Stop from a few weeks ago.
I stamped the sentiment in Stampin Up Old Olive and used a Happy Father's Day sentiment on the inside of the card. That's it for a simple, masculine card!
Thanks for stopping by today! Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!
Supplies Used:
Stamps - Paper Pretties Right on Par
Paper - Bazzill cardstock; Cosmo Cricket dsp
Ink - Memento black, blue, Stampin Up Old Olive

Happy Monday

It's Monday and time for yet another adorable digital release from Paper Pretties. This one is so funny, a bird called Frank. I used the image to make a note card instead of a full size card and plan to make a few more in coordinating colors (perfect little gift!).
I colored the image with copics and cut the branch a little out of the box. I sponged blue around the image to make a sky. This card was more of a clean and simple design for me, my new favorite. I added a sentiment to keep with the humor of the bird.
The other image being offered to me is called Tommy and is pictured here:
This is perfect for a kid's birthday card.
