I am so excited to be part of the Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop once again. This month the theme was to use red, white and blue for inspiration, and I did just that!! I chose to work with Taylor's Make a Wish stamp set, using only paper piecing for my card. I can't rememeber the last card I made without coloring the entire image and using designer paper! This card took a bit of time to cut out all of the different sections of the cake, but I like the end result. I added some stars, stamped out in the coordinating paper, and placed randomly around the image. I embossed the background with circles to match the bottom layer of cake and added a ribbon panel of red and white ribbon to finish the card. I needed a card for a little boy that turned five last month around Memorial Day and how perfect is this card for him!
Thanks for stopping by today.
