Such a Doll

Here is a card I made for my daughters' friend who is turning three. I doubt she will appreciate all of the work I put into it, but I'm hoping her Mom and Dad do!

This card if for the Dirty Dozen word challenge for this month - making a card to the word CARE. For this card I used the following:

C - cardstock or Copics

A - adorable image!

R - rosette

E - embossing

I had to stretch my imagination a bit! I originally planned to use an argyle dsp and some ribbon, but the card went in its own direction, as they often do.

I also followed the Sweet Stop Sketch for this week, shown here:

I started with the image, coloring her with copics to match the dsp. I paper pieced her dress and used the same paper as a background panel and for the rosette. I embossed the blue panel with Swiss Dots and replaced the ribbon of the sketch with a die cut of paper dolls. Instead of the bow, I used several flower dies to make a layered rosette. The card then called for stitching, so I sewed the edge of two of the panel. The final touch was a sentiment added to the side of the image panel.
