Happy Spring!

Well I am hopeful for spring with all the snow we have seen this winter. Today's card is for two challenges - one to be inspired by Spring and the other to use hexagons on my card. I inked up this cutie from Whimsie Doodles and colored her with copics to match this hexagon paper. I embossed the other half with some more hexagons and added a sentiment from another stamp set. This card will be a birthday card for my Mom, who is a fantastic gardener!

I Love You

Here is another super cute image that I got from Whimsie Doodles recently. I inked these two up for the color challenge at Splitcoast today, which was to use orange, a reddish pink and dark gray together. I love how these colors work together, especially with the image. Must be honest, this took forever to color! These images are a bit of work to finish coloring but I love the end result. I used Copics to color them.

Thank You Teacher

Here is a card I made yesterday for Splitcoast but never got a chance to post here. It is for a sketch challenge and for the monthly theme challenge in the Fan Club. I am always so happy in June, when the school year comes to an end and everything gets super busy, and I have my teacher thank you cards done! With four girls in school, there are always plenty to make.

This cutie is a digital image from Whimsie Doodles. I love coloring these images with Copics. They take a long time to do (can't lie!) but the end result is so worth it to me. I cut her out with scissors and then followed the sketch at Splitcoast. The kraft panels behind her were recycled from a sleeve around a coffee cup.

Wonderful Winter Wishes

There's nothing like a warm cup of coffee on a bitter cold day! We are in the midst of a cold snap here in the northeast (getting warmer now) and my coffee maker has been put to the test! I just love this cutie from Whimsie Doodles and enjoyed coloring her up.This card is for the guest designer challenge over there, a sketch challenge this month.

Candy Cane for You!

 

 

Do you think Christmas is on my mind?!! I am not done shopping yet and have to get started on baking this week, but I love it. I love everything about this wonderful time of the year.

 

 I made this card for the Sweet Stop sketches challenge this week and for the inspiration challenge yesterday at Splitcoast. I really loved coloring this elfish girl from Whimsie Doodles and she looks adorable in her green overalls.

 

I love this sketch from Sweet Stop - tags are a great element to add to cards and a great way to bring different papers and angles into the card. The sketch is here:

Big Gift

Here is another digital image from Whimsie Doodles, my only Black Friday purchase this year!!! Who doesn't love a sale on stamps :). This image is so sweet and perfect for a cute holiday card. I made this card for the monthly designer challenge at Whimsie Doodles and for the Sweet Stop challenge this week. It's been a while since I made one of these and the sketch is great this week.

 

 

 

I colored the image with copics and cut her out since she was a little too tall for the center panel of the sketch design. I like the music paper behind her anyway! I added two more coordinating holiday papers behind her, keeping everything very red and green. A ribbon and some buttons were all she needed. Cute!!

Stockings were hung by the chimney with care.....

We are starting to decorate for Christmas around here so I thought this card would be perfect for a post. I love this image from Whimsie Doodles - purchased it yesterday during their Black Friday sale. This little girl reminds me of each of my girls on Christmas morning, going through their gifts in their PJ's, with messy hair!!

Isn't she adorable!! She took a bit of time to color, but after hosting Thanksgiving dinner, a little "me" time in my stamp room was well deserved. I made this card for the monthly designer challenge going on at Whimsie Doodles. Wish me luck!! Now back to decorating!

Leaf Me Breathless!!

 

Here is my card for the Whimsie Doodles October challenge. How cute is this guy!!This took a bit of time to color but I think it was well worth the effort. He just got more adorable as I added more color to the image!

 

I colored him with Copics and cut the image out.The rest of the card went together with the colors of fall. I picked a leaf pattern paper and a green/green striped paper to keep with this scheme. I embossed the green panel to look like a tree.
