Kick Up Your Heels!

Went a little crazy with the orange today to kick up my heels and join the There She Goes challenge this week (TSG214). It is to case a Trendsetter, using a card from this past release. I chose Karin's card for Pandamonium, using a different image but keeping the layout very similar. I love this lion from Jungle Out There and love how he looks like he is jumping right out of this card.

I colored the image with copics and cut him out with scissors. I used a couple shades of yellow and orange inks and sponged the edges of the image panel. I then backed this with white and orange to pop it out more.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

There She Goes, again!

This week at There She Goes is all about flowers as we looked back at a few very pretty sets from years past. The first was Bloom (my favorite), then Forever, and finally Sweet Pea. They are all so beautiful and so versatile for card making.

I went with a very soft look on this card, keeping with pinks and browns. I recently went on line to the Operation Write Home website and was amazed at their efforts. I made this card with them in mind and plan to send this, along with a collection of other cards I have made, off to the troops.

Be sure to stop by the other Trendsetter's blogs and see what loveliness they have created with these beautiful images.

It’s no secret, we are DEFINITELY in love with everything Torico does here are There She Goes, and we know you are, too. This month she has honored us by creating a set that we have been begging for…meet The Doxie with Moxie!! TSG188-Sponging with Diecuts

Happy New Year 2013!! I enjoyed the holidays here and was able to get a little "me" time in today to make a few cards. Today's card is for the There She Goes challenge TSG188, Sponging with Die-cuts. I love using this technique to really make the image pop.

I used the owl from the newly released Smarty Pants set for my card today. I thought the sentiment was perfect for a new year's day card. I cut out the white circle, stamped the image inside it. Then I put the circle back into the circle die and sponged some yellow around the edge. This leaves a crisp white edge around the circle of yellow. I cut a larger circle of green and embossed it with dots.

Stop over at the There She Goes blog and join us for the challenge this week!

Holiday Cheer!

Today the trendsetters bring you new projects using some old favorties from There She Goes - Holiday Tags, HoHoHo and No Peeking. For today's project, I made a tag that I plan to hang on a bottle of wine as a quick and easy, yet super adorable, gift! I chose the Santa from HoHoHo and mixed it with the sentiment from the newly released Holiday Cheer. I just thought this sentiment went so well for a bottle of cheer.

Be sure to stop by the blog today at There She Goes to see what the other Trendsetters have come up with today!

Toadally Cool!

Here is a card I made over the weekend but didn't get a chance to post here. I have been busy working on some C-U-T-Eness coming your way from There She Goes. There will be sneak peaks next week so be sure to stop back. This upcoming release is really adorable.

Back to my card. I used the toad from TSG Toadally Awesome and made a Clean and Simple thank you card. This was for the 200th CAS challenge at Splitcoast and I made this card to the word PARTY (plaid, argyle, ribbon, toad and yellow). There are a bunch of challenges up there to celebrate the 200th so join in!

Thanks for stopping by today. Stop back tomorrow for a look at a tag I made to go on a wine bottles for a quick and easy holiday gift.

Shake Things Up!

Here is a card I made for the Sweet Sunday sketch challenge using the new Snow Globe stamp set and die from There She Goes (love this!!). Inside the globe, I stamped the snowman from Holiday Cheer. There are so many other images that I have that will fit in this globe which I can't wait to try. I am loving this Christmas paper from Crate Paper This and That, especially the plaid. I paper pieced the snowman's scarf with the criss-cross dsp and added a button and twine to match the sketch shown here, turned on its side (SSSC173):

There She Goes Snow Globe RELEASE DAY!!!

I told you yesterday that you had to wait until today to see WHY the new Holiday Cheer set was so versatile…well, wait no more! Not only is it a set that stands alone, the SUPER cute images were designed to fit into today’s set, Snow Globe! Along with a matching die, Torico has really out done herself!!

Snow Globe and Die is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 4 stamps and will sell for $29

This set is great! You can use the die to make a snow globe out of so many images. Here I used the too-cute girl from yesterday's release. This was my first ever shaker card, and while I must admit glitter falls out if you hold the card upright, the end result looks so much like a snow globe!

Seasons Greetings

Here is my card for the Clean and Simple challenge at Splitcoast this week - a sketch challenge (my favorite!). The sketch called for these lovely large banners. What a great fun way to add different designer papers into a card, while adding dimension and interest. I went totally Christmas on this one, with a rich jewel toned look. We had our first snow here this past week following the terrible hurricane. The snow put me in a bit of a Christmas mood (though I will admit it doesn't take much - I love Christmas!). The snow is gone now and we are expecting temperatures in the 60's tomorrow!

The stamps I used for this card are There She Goes Seasons Greetings. I pulled the sentiment and a simple tree to embellishment my card a bit. Stop back later today for another Christmas card using an adorable TSG set Penguin Pals.

Swiss Autumn

Its good to be back stamping again after a bit of a hiatus as a result of Hurricane Sandy. We were fortunate in that we are safe with no damage to the house, unlike so many on Long Island. We were without power for 11 days, but power was finally restored yesterday and things are getting back to normal here.

My card today is for last weeks Clean and Simple challenge, an inspiration challenge based off a Pinterest photo of Swiss Autumn, shown below. I tried to capture the reds and yellows of the photo and also loved the mix of blue and brown in the photo as well.

I created the pile of leaves by using the masking technique, using two sizes of leaves from There She Goes Bountiful Blessings. I colored them by sunlight through my basement window, sitting at my daughter's Play-doh table to capture the best light!! The lengths we go through to stamp! Once the lights returned I was able to put the card together.
